Sponsorship Requests
As a leading New Zealand company, we receive a huge number of sponsorship requests. Many of these come from organisations or charities that have a wonderful project or cause in mind. Unfortunately we can't say yes to them all. How we choose to spread our support relates to how well a project fits our sponsorship objectives and our company priorities.
New Zealand Post's Sponsorship Portfolio
New Zealand Post has a number of longstanding partnerships in our sponsorship portfolio, including Arts and Literacy, Education and The Community. Our focus for 2008 is on developing and maximising those relationships. We are not actively looking for anything new.
Non Profit Groups
Non profit groups and projects seeking support should apply for our Community Post programme that opens on 1 August 2008.
Applying for Sponsorship
Organisations that are considering applying for sponsorship from New Zealand Post should send a written proposal at least six months, but preferably a year, before the sponsorship activity begins.
There are a number of things we will be looking for:
- The opportunity to build a really strong partnership where both parties will work together for mutual benefit.
- How it will generate real business and brand profile outcomes.
- How accessible the project is for all New Zealanders.
- The sponsorship must link to our current focus on literacy and education.
- The sponsorship must support groups, not individuals.
- The sponsorship should assist New Zealand communities, not overseas activities or travel.
- There must be enough time to plan for the event and implement all leveraging activities.
