Getting started
- BoxLink is available in postage included envelopes:
- Lodge your BoxLink mail at a PostShop, Mail Centre or with your courier (if you have a pick-up service). BoxLink cannot be lodged in a street posting box - if you do lodge your BoxLink mail in a street posting box it may not receive the BoxLink service.
Note: From 28 March 2008 New Zealand Post will no longer be offering BoxLink postage included stickers as a postage option or BoxLink plastic foolscap flat bags. You can continue to use up your existing stock of both BoxLink postage included stickers and BoxLink plastic foolscap bags until you run out.
Important information about BoxLink
- BoxLink is for sending mail to New Zealand Post PO Box and Private Bag addresses only. BoxLink cannot be used for sending mail to street, rural delivery or overseas addresses.
- BoxLink must be lodged at a PostShop, Mail Centre or with your courier (if you have a pick-up service). BoxLink cannot be lodged in a street posting box – if you do lodge your BoxLink mail in a street posting box it may not receive the BoxLink service.
- Postage on BoxLink postage included envelopes can only be used once.
- BoxLink cannot be used as a response device.
- You must have a "BoxLink" service indicator on the front, top right hand corner of the envelope.
- You must separate and bundle your BoxLink mail from your other mail so it is clearly identified as requiring priority service. BoxLink mail mixed with non-priority mail may not receive the BoxLink service.
Compensation, high risk and prohibited items
Before sending mail items around the country, make sure that what you're sending is safe to send and will be covered if the item goes missing or is damaged. Make sure you read our prohibited items guide and our compensation guide for more information.

These two documents are available on this website as part of our standard terms and conditions. They are also available for reference at all PostShops and selected New Zealand Post retail outlets (excluding stamp resellers). Other conditions for credit customers are contained in the terms and conditions provided to these customers when credit was arranged.
