For fast foreign exchange, call into any of our "Fast Foreign Exchange" PostShops. These shops hold Australian Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, Japanese Yen, Singapore Dollars, and US Dollars. Get any of these currencies on the spot, or you'll get it commission free. The maximum currency order for commission free offer is $2,000 NZD equivalent.

- Orders placed by 3pm Monday to Friday are available for collection the next business day.
- Orders placed after 3pm will be available for collection two business days later.

Selling Your Foreign Cash
You can call into any one of our "Fast Foreign Exchange" PostShops or one of these PostShops, and (subject to availability) sell your foreign cash on the spot, or exchange your foreign currency traveller's cheques for New Zealand dollars.

Cash Passport - The "Electronic Traveller's Cheque"
Travelling with large amounts of cash in your pocket can be risky. Thankfully, there's a smarter way to travel, without sacrificing the convenience of instant cash.

- Cash Passport is an easy way to take your spending money overseas. Known as the "Electronic Traveller's Cheque" it's accepted at over 1 million Visa ATMs around the world, so you have easy access to local currency, 24 hours a day.
- Cash Passport's are avaliable in 5 different currencies: Euros, US Dollars, British Pound, Australian Dollars and New Zealand Dollars.
- The Cash Passport is a reloadable card, so money can be loaded onto your card via telephone/internet banking or at your local PostShop by you or someone else back home. For more information on reloading, read our guide to reloading and cashing out (.pdf- 103kb).
- The card is PIN protected for security.
- There is a second card automatically linked to your account, just in case you misplace the first one.
- The amount of each withdrawal is deducted instantly from the card balance.
- Transaction history and current balance information can be found on the Internet site www.cashpassportcard.com or by telephoning the 0800 number on the back of the Cash Passport Card. Some, but not all cash machines will also tell you your current balance.
- At the end of your trip you can choose to cash out your card by taking it back to where you bought it or keep it and top it up before you go on holiday again.
- There is a minimum purchase value of NZ$250 and a maximum purchase value of NZ$17,000.

You can pick up your Cash Passport Card at any full service PostShop. If there are none in stock, you can order and collect your card the next business day (if ordered before 3pm). Find your local PostShop.
