FreePost

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
New, larger dimensions for Extra Large and Oversize standard letter sizes. More...

FreePost provides a free mail method for consumers to contact businesses. It is the postal version of a freephone number: you only pay for the postage when you receive your customers' responses in your New Zealand Post PO Box or Private Bag.

FreePost is an ideal way to encourage your customers to respond to advertising, direct marketing offers, invoices and mailings. FreePost also enables customers to freely communicate with you from anywhere within New Zealand.

Note: From 1 July 2008 compliance with new FreePost approved envelope layout standards will be mandatory in order to continue to receive the approved FreePost price. The information below contains references to these new Freepost approved envelope layout standards.

Key benefits

  • Convenient: By providing a pre-printed FreePost envelope to your customers, you make it easier for them to freely correspond with you (potentially improving response rates).
  • Cost-effective and flexible: You choose the most cost-effective method. Discounts are given for approved format pre-printed FreePost envelopes, or you can simply promote your FreePost number or word on stationery, promotional material and correspondence for customers to use when addressing correspondence.
  • Customise FreePost: For added recall, you can replace your FreePost authority number with a word (or combination of words) of your choice.
  • Ideal for any sized business: There is no minimum lodgement quantity, and flexible payment options are available.
