International Bulk Mail

International Bulk Mail is a service designed to offer customers who are sending a high volume of mail at the same time, greater flexibility, through different weight and size limits as well as competitive rates.

Who can use the International Bulk Mail service?

This service is available to credit account customers who are mailing more than 1000 identical items per lodgement for letter mail (up to 260mm x 360mm x 20mm), or 500 identical items per lodgement for oversize letters (printed matter) and parcels (maximum weight per item of 1kg).

What benefits does it offer?

  • Flexibility - Letter rates are not restricted to 200g but are offered up to 500g. Oversize printed matter and parcels containing merchandise are allowed up to 1kg.
  • Less Hassle - Only sort by destination country.
  • Minimal Documentation - Mail is lodged in letter trays with a single ARO19N lodgement form required per lodgement.
  • Competitive Pricing - Pricing is based on seven geographical zones: Australia, South Pacific, East Asia and North America (excluding USA), Europe, rest of the world, the UK and the USA. It's also cost effective - you only pay for the actual weight of your mail items in 10g increments for both letter and parcel product.
  • All international postal prices are GST zero-rated, thus saving administrative time in reclaiming GST.
  • Compensation - International Bulk Mail includes standard compensation for loss or damage of up to NZ$250.00 per item, except for items which are classified as high risk. Click here for more details.

How do I lodge International Bulk Mail?

All mail must be lodged in letter trays, which are available on application at your nearest Mail Service Centre. Each tray must be accompanied by an ARO19N lodgement form.
