Every working day, around 700 households let New Zealand Post know their new address and 65% agree to receive targeted advertising material at their new address. That's nearly 178,000 individual new movers every year, making it the most comprehensive and dynamic source of new movers' data in New Zealand.
New Zealand homeowners spend on average $8,588 in the three months around moving residence, and 40% of that in the month pre-move. Now you can acquire new customers and get your share of this large, motivated and highly responsive market by targeting people before or just after they have shifted homes.
We make it easy for you to qualify movers by providing selection criteria such as recency and geography. Not only that, we will now give you both move addresses, the move to and the move from, so that you double your contact possibilities! Plus we now offer DPID (delivery point identifier) and an SOA (statement of accuracy) as standard outputs, with optional Geo-Demographic filters such as Meshblock ID, and LINZ Parcel ID X & Y co-ordinates, for a small premium.

Our movers database has more than 3 million people who have completed a redirection form in the past 5 years. Redirect My Mail is a redirection service provided by New Zealand Post for people who are moving house and would like all mail addressed to the old address to be forwarded to their new home.

Each month on average, 15,000 households let New Zealand Post know their new address and agree to receive targeted advertising material. With daily database updates, you can be sure of getting the most recent data.

- Quality of data
Our new mover data is matched against our definitive address database - the Postal Address File (PAF) to ensure accuracy of the addresses and is regularly washed against the Marketing Association's Name Removal Register.
- Compliance with Privacy Act 1993
All new mover data is collected and disclosed in accordance with the principles of the Privacy Act 1993.

- Home owners spend on average $8,588 during the three months around the move event, almost three times as much as renters.
- Home owners will spend almost three times more than the average renter in the first 12 months of the move event.
- On average, renters and home owners combined will spend $5,396 in the first three months surrounding the move event.
- Small electrical appliances are the most common items bought in the first three months of a move, closely followed by non-electrical household items (e.g. cookware), furnishings and furniture. However, while incidence of spend is lower, more dollars are spent on bigger ticket items including motor vehicles, furniture, large appliances and audio-visual equipment.
- When moving, the services most often considered for change are home and contents insurance, telecommunication, electricity / gas and internet service providers. Obviously, almost all those buying a home reconsider their home loan arrangements at this time.
Delivery
Data is supplied in MS Excel or Tab-delimited form by email or on CD-Rom. It comprises:
- Contact name: title (where available), first name or initial(s), surname
- New postal address and postcode: supplied as three lines of address.
- Previous postal address and postcode: supplied as three lines of address.
- GeoDem option: includes Meshblock ID, and LINZ Parcel ID X & Y co-ordinates.
Delivery time is 5 working days following receipt of a signed data list rental agreement from you.
Price
One off annual set-up fee of $200 (for standing orders of repeat criteria) after that you pay only for the records supplied without a set-up fee. Any change to criteria will incur a new set-up fee.

- To protect new movers from inappropriate or undesirable offers we ask businesses to supply a sample mailing pack or concept with each order
- List rental costs cover one mailout only and the list is seeded to detect unauthorised use
- List cannot be used for a standalone telemarketing campaign.
