How does it work?
Prezzy Card looks and works a bit like a credit card but unlike a credit card it has a prepaid balance.
- Prezzy Card can be used at more than 24 million Visa retailers, whether in a physical store or for online purchasing.
- The Prezzy Card costs $5.00 when purchased at a PostShop or $8.95 when purchased online (an additional administration fee of $3.95 is applied per card for all online purchases).
- The Prezzy Card can be loaded with any value between $25 and $500 when purchased at a PostShop. When you purchase a Prezzy Card online simply choose from one of the predetermined load amounts.
- Once the Prezzy Card has been given to the recipient they can use the card as many times as they like until it expires (at least 12 months from the date of purchase), spending up to the amount that you have loaded onto the card.
- Once the balance on the card has been used, the card cannot be reloaded. You can visit a participating PostShop to purchase another card or buy one online.
- The card balance can be checked for free at any time on this website.
Register your card
When you register your card online within 21 days from purchase, you get an added level of security. You can let us know if your card has been lost or stolen, and get a new card sent to you for a fee. It also means you have an added level of security the next time you check your balance or transactions online. Ensure you keep your card number in a safe location, along with your card expiry date and the 3-digit code that is next to the signature panel on the back of your card.
Know your balance
You can check your card balance anytime - online or by phone. You will need the 16 digit account number found on the front of the card to access this information. To check your card balance over the phone please call 0800 450 509. Please note that a phone service fee will apply.
How to use your Prezzy Card
Using your Prezzy Card is similar to using a credit card.

There are some fees associated with Prezzy Card.
Currency conversion fee
A Currency Conversion Fee of 3.5% wil be charged on all foreign currency Prezzy Card transactions from July 24th 2008.
